J.P. Lavoie

J.P. brings over 20 years of experience in Wealth Management and Asset Management. He has spent many years cultivating deep relationships with many in the IIROC community in BC. Prior to First Asset and his tenure as a wholesaler, J.P. served as the SVP of Wealth Services and National Training at Canaccord Capital, where he was responsible for the overall strategic direction of wealth management and private client programs. As a member of the executive committee, he and his partners were instrumental in growing AUA from $8 billion to $15 billion. He will draw on his leadership experience to recruit and build out the branch network in Western Canada. He graduated from the University of Manitoba in 1992 from the Asper School of Business and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. He has lived in Vancouver since 1993 and has three kids, aged 10, 12 and 14.
