Michelle joined Wellington-Altus in September 2020 and is based in Toronto, ON. She oversees the Advanced Wealth Planning Group, Wellington-Altus Insurance Inc. and Wellington-Altus wealth initiatives across Canada.
As a wealth planner with over 20 years of expertise, Michelle is recognized as one of Canada’s leading wealth planning professionals from an education and communication standpoint. She is known for her love of talking tax, retirement, wealth transfer, legacy planning and wealth literacy. She is an often requested speaker at wealth industry conferences and events, and a regular contributor to a variety of wealth industry publications. In 2017 and 2021, she was featured in Canada’s Wealth Professional (WP) Magazine Listing as an Annual Women of Influence.
Michelle’s interest in taxation was fostered at Deloitte, where she provided tax and wealth succession planning to high-net-worth clients, small to medium-sized corporate enterprises and incorporated professionals in its Private Client Advisor and Global Wealth and Employment Services tax groups. She moved to the Wealth Services industry a little over fifteen years ago and is passionate about helping Canadians make well-informed decisions when it comes to their wealth.
Michelle graduated from Brock University, with a Bachelor of Accounting (Hons. Co-op) and has obtained her CPA, CA, TEP, FEA and CFP® designations.
Outside of work, she and her husband attempt to keep up with their three teenagers and 85 lb Bernedoodle, Marz. Michelle is an ambassador for Campfire Circle (formerly Camp Oochigeas), the Sick Kids Foundation and sits on the executive committee of STEP Toronto.
